Sometimes I called you Moons and it’s been many of them since we’ve seen each other. But you’re so elusive - so hidden! I have no idea who you’re with, or what you do with your time. I don’t want to rustle your nest. When I re-read our last messages (from 5 years ago) I got the feeling I was intruding on something. But I swam a circle around the dock and I’m ready to come back home. I want a flock of brown eyed babies, and you’re the only one who I could possibly have them with. You can teach them about guitars and I can teach them horsemanship, and we can both show them how to be good people, to have manners, and eat well. We broke up when I was a girl with wanderlust. Now, I want to grow kale and write stories on a hill with you forever. Doesn’t that sound perfect? You tell me :)
