I found it unsettling to be exposed to such petty behavior with a nasty voicemail. You used to frown upon the likes of people for whom those things did choose.
I have told you many a time over, I wish you no ill will. Even though, fairly I presume, I could have turned bitter and righteous and followed through with legalities.
I only want you to be happy and have found it hard to believe we will ever completely lose connection in any of the tiniest, rarest forms in this lifetime. But, alas, if you let her be the master of your decisions… so be it.

I saw you in your long yellow kayak on the La Platte River; we talked about how far you could get upstream before the beaver dams stopped you. 2:30 ish on Sunday Aug 9th. I was in a green/blue kayak and passed you again on your way out. Wish I had said hi while you were putting your kayak on your red Subaru.

We passed each other running on the bike path and you had the sweetest smile on your face despite the horrid heat! About 30 minutes later I saw you on the sidewalk and you were sitting petting a cat, still with your cute smile! I stopped and pet the cat a bit with you but you got a phone call and walked off. Our short interaction was a breath of fresh air!
