Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

I'm a semi retired emergency physician, currently working part time college health/ athletic medicine and doing some teaching. I am a youngish ( wildly good genes) in a natural way 61 year old mother of 3 young adult fully launched sons who are all lovely and self supporting. I’m a “call it like you see it”, straightforward type of person who has done an extensive amount of work to understand myself and is fully capable of taking ownership of my own stuff. I am emotionally brave and hardworking.I have a quick wit, with a bit of a dark humor edge, and love to make myself laugh at the absurdity of life. I've put myself out there for an open mic standup set in the past ( something I think everyone should do at least once). I am a beloved friend, confidant and mentor to many. I surround myself with deep relationships, and am devoted and loyal to those. I have very little interest in superficial anything and am easily bored by small talk. Nature is my church. My best times are exercising outdoors with a loved one (single track mountain biking, fat biking, hiking, walking, xc skiing, you get the idea). I've been divorced for over a decade. It is important to me that I am true to myself in a relationship, and am willing to kindly and lovingly work through difficult topics within the relationship with a partner who is present for that. I am kind, dynamic, passionate and outspoken, and seek to find understanding in all my relationships.
I am a breast cancer survivor ( still with all my original parts if you are wondering), diagnosed in 2017 and underwent surgery, chemo and radiation, and am currently on anti- hormonal therapy, so if that freaks you out, I'm not your gal. I'm fit, doing outdoor exercise most days all seasons, lifting weights to failure a few times a week at the gym, but not extreme in my fitness. I love wholesome food, am a great utilitarian cook, and own my own home in a lovely area. I have a well behaved, aging but active dog who lives with me. I’m waiting to do any big long term travel ( would love to hike in New Zeleand) until my dog dies since it just isn't fair to her to be gone for a long time. But when I do, would love a travel companion to share the experiences with.
Aside from the state of the world, I would say that I am overall a very resilient person, who works to find joy and humor in my life and the world around me.

I'm looking for someone who is ultimately interested in a long term, monogamous relationship ( that does not include marriage, but ideally possibly cohabitation eventually) and is actively looking to find a partner and do the work to make that happen. My definition of the ultimate display of strength and virility in a man is being brave and hardworking enough to slay their own emotional dragons and someone who doesn't get scared of giving and receiving big, kind, patient and understanding love. ( cue- WHERE ARE THE MEN WHO ARE WILLING TO DO THAT???)

I'm looking for someone to be a fun companion and activity partner to explore nature and the world. I’m looking for someone who is interested in talking openly about what they want in a relationship and how their partner can best help them get that, and feels the same way about making their partner’s life better through the relationship.
I'm looking for someone who is honest, funny and kind,someone who understands that physical intimacy requires emotional intimacy to make it worthwhile. I'm looking for someone who is intelligent and facile at being both funny and spontaneous and serious and solid. I'm looking for someone with similar outdoor interests. I'm looking for someone who has a strong moral compass and is honest and transparent.
Im interested in someone who wants the trifecta of a companion, a lover and best friend. I'm interested in someone who is good looking enough, but not so good looking that they’ve gotten by on it. Im looking for a non smoker, who doesn't use drugs, and drinks either not at all or occasionally, and knows how to self soothe.

I have been told that this ad makes me sound insane. I can assure you that I am not. Im just super straightforward and don't want to mess around with people who don't want similar things to me, so wrote the ad to be very explicit.
If you have made it this far and have not been scared off by this laundry list of qualities, but are actually intrigued, please reach out. I have no interest in wasting my time or yours, so if you aren't up for someone who really wants a deep emotional connection and goal of a long term monogamous relationship that takes work on both ends ( as a long term goal- not immediately obviously- it takes time to first find the right person and then build something worthwhile), then we aren't for each other. Im hopeful there is someone out there who looks at this and says “ finally, this is just what Im looking for!”I guess time will tell. In the end, it only takes one…. all photos taken Summer 2026.
