Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

I was raised on the streets of the Lower East Side in NYC and summers on a dead-end road in Plainfield, Vermont and also a little bit by parents. But I've overcome them... Blessed with lots of long-time dear friends, who helped build my solid heart. What I mostly feel these days is joy, which has been a long- and hard-time coming. But that's made it all the more delicious. When I was about 13 I was sent to a therapist, and thought, "So you can just get paid for talking to people?" That was pretty much the day I chose my career. I've learned over the years that so much of our nonsense and continued suffering comes from our projections onto the world and people and all the reactions we have, due to how poorly our bodies and brains are designed to live fully in all our deep feelings. I just love, love it all, so piqued by curiosity. I’ve found the most great purple house to live in in Montpelier and I dig the little bubble of this place, though trips to cities and adventures of all kinds help me feel good and energized. My NY blood has me always seeking the greatest food, art, music, movies, and people. My VT blood has me seeking the quiet woods, dirt roads, and swimming holes. I was a radio DJ for 30 years and have a few thousand records and the numbers of a few famous people in my phone, if you want something to brag about when you tell people who you’re dating. I first felt the presence of god or being deeply loved or the wonderful sense of complete belonging or church or whatever we should call it when I heard the guitar intro to a Funkadelic song (and no drugs were involved). My favorite time is twilight. My morning is black coffee on my couch as the sky lightens up. Loyal (used to be to a fault until I learned boundaries). Loves: my son, dreamwork, my dearest friends, my job, twilight, jumping in water, driving standard, going places, clarity, curiosity, bravery, savoring a moment, touch, snow, being insanely funny, purple, redwoods, ocean, the sun coming up and down, the Knicks, my records, bagpipes, delighting others, brussels sprouts, secure attachment, the saxophone being played next door.
