Why we're here
Hi. Looking for friendship and joy. I’m a dog and cat loving, independent, outdoorsy and indoorsy central Vermonter. Retired from paid work but busy on boards and committees and through direct community service. Love to be with others and share good times. (Recreating famous paintings with stunning accuracy is another life skill as my third photo demonstrates, LOL.) In friendships and romantic partners, I am most comfortable with people who are confident, independent, open minded and very kind. I love to hike, read, write, think, make things, and help out. Let’s walk through your woods or mine, get out on the water and trails, and take a trip while the days are lovely and we still have our marbles!
What is the one thing that you love that everybody else hates? A good hospital stay. Yes, it's true! When it's necessary, it can be such a blessing to be cared for. Medical professionals are awesome. (No I haven't been in the hospital lately -- just was talking about this with a friend the other night and realized how unusual it is to have had a good experience.)
On a Saturday night you will most likely find me with friends and at home
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are meanness and narcissism
I couldn't live without a good book, pets, ice cream, Sunday crossword
The first section I turn to in Seven Days is the Sudoku
The quickest way to my heart is kindness, smarts, humor. The quickest way to my bed is up the stairs. And in the morning, I like my eggs cooked rather than uncooked
My ideal partner would be in the 60 to 80 age range.
Steak or Sushi
Fox News or The Daily Show
Morning Bird or Night Owl
