Curious, quiet, silly, content
There's nothing better than listening to live music, paddling on the lake, belly laughing, and sharing a meal beside someone you're smitten with. I'd love to find a partner to share some of those things. I’m quite independent and very content living alone so I’m looking to enhance my life, not complete it. Curiosity about others, kindness and generosity are essential as well as a deep understanding of your shortcomings in relationships as well as your strengths. It's important to me that a partner be able to share thoughts and emotions kindly, have a sharp intellect and ready-sense of humor. Of course you will laugh at my jokes (all three of them) and adore my dog... When I'm not working at the job that I love you will find me in the garden, on the lake, seeking out live music, in the garden, loving up my dog, chilling on my porch, sharing quality time with friends and of course, in the garden.
My beliefs about spirituality, humanity , and living amongst others are pretty simple, pretty essential and can be summed up here:
Small Kindnesses I’ve been thinking about the way, when you walk down a crowded aisle, people pull in their legs to let you by. Or how strangers still say “bless you” when someone sneezes, a leftover from the Bubonic plague. “Don’t die,” we are saying. And sometimes, when you spill lemons from your grocery bag, someone else will help you pick them up. Mostly, we don’t want to harm each other. We want to be handed our coffee hot, and to say thank you to the person handing it. To smile at them and for them to smile back. For the waitress to call us honey when she sets down the bowl of clam chowder, and for the driver in the red pick-up truck to let us pass. We have so little of each other, now. So far from tribe and fire. Only these brief moments of exchange. What if they are the true dwelling of the holy, these fleeting temples we make together when we say, “Here, have my seat,” “Go ahead - you first,” “I like your hat.” Danusha Lameris
I prefer a phone call first, or to meet over zoom or FaceTime. If that feels good I'm happy to meet in person. (Ps if Trump is for you,’re not for me but I wish you well)
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are selfishness and arrogance
On a Saturday night you will most likely find me listening to live music
I couldn't live without gardening
