Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

After many years, I'm new at this; bear with me.
If it had to be one word, "passionate" probably best describes me. I rarely participate without engagement and excitement. I'm not one to tolerate same-ol same-ol. I love my friends. I love animals. I'm really happy being by myself but my perfect day would be with one or two friends for a day on the lake or ocean.. stop for coffee and pastry first... Always stop to pet and laugh with the dogs and owners we meet... Paddling on the lake or ocean, lunch on the shore, campfire and guitars at night. I'm big on campfires as that's where it all started and it's a very primal place where we can all feel comfortable.
I love cats and especially dogs. As a friend once said.... "If there are no dogs in heaven, it's no place I want to be in". Don't have a dog companion currently but looking forward to see who trots into my life!
I'm a right brain person but backed up by a fairly solid left brain. I like a good traffic jam on the Corpus Callosum! I'm pretty good with creative thinking and I'm pretty good at using my hands to make it real.
I love many genres of music. I like purposely listening on a good stereo, I like making music and hearing good music live.
Painter, draftsman, semi-sculptor... The arts are important to me. The water... Lakes, rivers, streams and especially the ocean is a primary soul place for me. I love camping, paddling canoe and kayak, fishing, swimming and splashing and watching nature.
At home I really enjoy cooking and gardening and making and sharing meals with friends and family. I love long conversations about almost anything except organized sports... (Although the Yankees and Dodgers this year was rather spellbinding.)
I really enjoy country life and self-sufficiency but I also feel comfortable in the big city for moderate periods of time, and like museums, bookstores, cafes, music stores, record stores and a good restaurant.
I think I'm looking for a friend to just explore some of the world with... definitely someone to paddle and camp and sit by the
fire with. I'm really not looking for another committed one-person "relationship" at this point in my life. I am looking for a spark and some physicality and some shared passion.
I'm trying to balance the insane nature of America at this point, sadness and fear for the earth and the animals ...along with appreciation of the beauty in life and seeing the incredibly wonderful things some of us are capable of. I don't want to ignore the horror but nor will I be consumed by it. We have but one life on this beautiful little spinning marble in space.
Lastly, in terms of my attractions, I appreciate women who are confident in all their beautiful curviness and natural attributes the Spirit gave them. Make-up, weigh-over-consciousness and removal of hair are artificial constraints and not required. "Be who you are" is a wonderful approach.
