77 Going on 60 – Seeking an Extraordinary Woman (1st 3 pics are 2026)

I want a committed, joyfully playful partnership. A relationship of “Yes”, mutually supportive, profoundly communicative, alive in every way two people can be alive together. I am capable of loving fearlessly, without reserve. If you have your own ideas about what this might mean, please keep reading.

Family is important to me. I raised my two daughters as a single parent from ages 4 and 6. I know to put the seat down. I see what needs to be done around the house and do it. I cook but I enjoy being souse chief.

Chronologically I am 77. Biologically I am something else. I don’t need or use Viagra. I mountain bike with people ten and twenty years younger than me. Lift access I am a blue trails rider, sometimes black but no jumps. I am a far better skier than mnt bike rider. I used to be an extreme skier. Powderhound. At age 72 I was averaging 27 to 33,000 vertical feet a day of steep and deep powder. Skinned for my powder turns when they were not in-bounds. Since age 72 I have been aging. It’s disconcerting. But being in shape is genuinely fun and I do what it takes to keep doing the activities I enjoy, so that I can do them with the people I most enjoy doing them with.
After ten years living the dream of chasing powder the only thing I care about now is sharing my days with friends and family.
There are a bunch of rail trails that would be fun to ride. A bike is the best way to experience places like the Maine Coast and Cape Cod. I have little or no interest in doing those things alone.
I designed and built an ocean-worthy sailboat. (It is in my yard.) Before that I turned a condemned building into my first home. I fitted out a Sprinter Van as a 4 season camper before that was a thing. I have traveled widely in the US and world. Does travel interest you?
I have an eclectic taste in music. I love to dance like no one is watching, especially when dancing playfully with a partner. In Ithaca I am part of an ecstatic dance “community”. I could be convinced to learn Salsa and Swing dancing.
I have done serious personal growth work over many years. I know how to communicate deeply in all the ways humans can communicate. And I am flawed. My daughter thinks I am on the autism spectrum and she may be correct.
I want to be part of a committed relationship that can both evolve and last. I have been studying how to get it right this time. Sharing what I have learned, and continue to discover, I have helped my children build healthy, lasting marriages. Now I want that for myself.
My life is geographically split between Ithaca, NY and Burke, VT and my life is woven into my daughter’s family as we create our evolving multi-generational family living situation. A partner would need to understand and embrace that kind of full, complicated, rich life, (as I would hers) and be willing to figure out together how we complicate and enrich our lives further.
I am not looking for someone to complete me. I am looking for someone with whom, together we can create an extraordinary relationship.
