Seeking Vermont-rooted Adventurer.
Left-coast transplant seeks Vermont-rooted adventurer. Spent the last 20 years on the edge of the continent (38.1010° n, 122.8569° w), the prior 40 downtown in DC. I'm a lifelong self-employed publication designer, just retired from my bicoastal practice (DC and San Francisco). Now learning how to balance retirement + creative projects + finding someone special to come out and play with. If you also enjoy No Kings, hiking, road-tripping, and locavore events/festivals, please be in touch. I'm eager to see Lake Champlain, the Mad River area and explore the Northeast Kingdom. Farther afield, I'd love to find someone who wants to revisit Montreal or some of my European favorites (Amsterdam, Italy, the UK). I'm currently renovating a 200-year-old Greek Revival home in Bennington with gorgeous gardens, a creek, a barn, but, other than this property, I'm not sure Bennington is right for me...I intend on moving north in the fall. I'd like to find a friend/partner who is creative, communicative, liberal, evolved and romantically experienced. Someone who might enjoy foraging for VT delicacies, live music or recorded tunes (modern jazz: Miles, Monk, Cal Tader, Marcus Roberts, Madeleine Peyroux; 80's and 90's new wave), and who, hand-in-hand, is willing to expand the limits of their comfort zone. How far would I drive for coffee and good conversation? After writing, facetiming, and establishing a sense of rapport: 2 hours or so. Question is, how far would you drive for a conversation that just might alter the course of your life?
Might as well face it, I'm addicted to... calloused hands
Three things that I want from my ideal mate are... originality, courage, sense of humor
What is the one thing that you love that everybody else hates? Opera. The sets, the costumes, the lighting, the performance.
On a Saturday night you will most likely find me experimenting in the kitchen
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are MAGA and bigotry
I couldn't live without a daily dose of nature
The first section I turn to in Seven Days is front page
The quickest way to my heart is laughter The quickest way to my bed is honesty And in the morning, I like my eggs cooked as a French scramble, over goat cheese
My ideal partner would be in the 65 to 75 age range.
