Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

Looking for people who are fun, smart and adventurous for friendship, casual dating and possible LTR.

I like to engage in active pursuits while my body allows: skiing in the backwoods, paddling, hiking, trail running, open-water swimming, dancing... I love winter, live local bands, reading, yoga and cooking healthy foods to nourish these activities.

I appreciate many different kinds of experiences in the world, even uncomfortable ones. I particularly appreciate the stillness and beauty of nature. I live in a neighborhood of quarter-acre lots, so my neighbors all know me to be the person outside staring up into the trees to see why the crows are making such a ruckus, watching the bats come out at twilight, to see a kestrel catch a bird mid-air and to explore the tracks that occasionally cross our backyards.

I like to see how my understandings of the world expand and change over time. I can be opinionated but am open to other perspectives and can accept new information to update my opinions.
When I'm feeling at my best, song lyrics that match a situation will come to me and I will sing them without reservation.

I am comfortable with long silences and with addressing conflicts directly. I am not okay with mean-spirited insults nor with physical aggression.

I would like to learn to flyfish, to weld, to keep bees and to weave. I have tried many times to learn to play a musical instrument and it is a sadness to me that, so far, the skill escapes me. I also am stymied by chemistry. Gah!
Sometimes I can hold on to the idea that everything in life is one great big experiment and, while I may have sensory experiences and preferences, none of this actually matters in the end. It’s all just one great learning journey. For that reason, I find it important to surround myself with people who allow me to continue to learn and grow, and who are on their own like path.
I have worked hard to get where I am and am happy to be exactly where I am in life, although more changes are coming, as they will.
