Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

I live in a small community, one that I’ve watched grow and change for the past 36 years. While there’s a peace and beauty here I cherish, I also love a city or a great adventure somewhere immersing in culture, experiencing differing points of view, and exploring new ways of seeing and responding to the world.

I’m a lover and maker of art and music outside of my work with the State. For visual art, what I make is inspired by nature and its beauty. For music, I sing with a small group of women as well as in a large chorus sharing sound and creating something that transcends the reality of its numbers.

I would describe myself as a creative, energetic introvert. I can take a large party or loud spaces for only so long, more enjoying smaller intimate gatherings. I’m a compassionate listener and make a really good friend. I smile easily and at least think I have a good sense of humor.

I’m prone to be awed by the world around me and it deserves every one of those moments. I have had a regular meditation practice for over 20 years, study Buddhist teachings and sit Vipassana when I can.

So, here I am, interested and hopeful in finding someone to share both the beauty and the challenges of life with. I look forward to sharing my heart generously with another and, as in music, to explore what can be created with our shared intention.
