Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

Never done this before so I'll just lay it all out there with long run-on sentences and too many elipses...the clock is ticking!

I grew up on the shores of Lake Champlain, lived in London for many years, travelled the world and ended up back in my home state of Vermont. I am friendly, outgoing, loyal and generous. I have a loving relationship with my smart, funny, gorgeous grown children and beautiful grandchildren, a group of intelligent, active and supportive friends and a wonderful community I enjoying engaging with…particularly anything to do with the arts. I am a bit of a romantic and a dreamer, I wear my heart on my sleeve (I'd suck at poker) and live my life out loud. I can also be a bit unfiltered. On the other hand I am down to earth, practical, organized, clean and tidy, handy with a screw gun or pole saw and not afraid to roll up my sleeves. I love music, art, dancing, travel, singing along to pretty much anything that comes on the car radio, downhill skiing, x-country skiing, my e-bike (I live in the mountains ok?), snuggling, massive bonfires, intimate fire pits, travel, candle lit bubble baths, good food, tequila on the rocks, a well crafted cocktail, good wine and beer. I am a visual person who appreciates beautiful things, spaces and places. I love getting a city fix every once in a while, fun hotels, nice sheets, theater, galleries, strolling with no agenda, a great meal out...it’s a nice balance to country living. I read Heather Cox Richardson and love doing NYT puzzles. I’m a good cook but rather tired of the day to day cooking. I live mostly in jeans but light up at any opportunity to dress up. Full disclosure, I do have bit of a thing for designer clothing (blame it on a past occupation) but I buy second hand because…um…I’m a really good recycler? Actually I am into recycling, composting, organic food, ...all that groovy, crunchy Vermonty stuff. I turned 70 in March. Yup, Pisces…with Virgo rising, like the song (and Pisces moon, Venus in Taurus if you’re interested). It’s so strange hitting that big number because I certainly don’t feel it and I plan on not being old until the bitter end.

I've had an amazingly full and interesting life thus far. I’m totally self sufficient, and resilient, but I’d prefer not to be alone for this final chapter. It’s lonely. I like being a couple and would love to feel someone’s arms around me again. So...being ever the optimist...I am hoping to find that special person to enjoy life with…to dance with, to hold hands with, to create memories with. I want someone who is smart and self confident but not narcissistic. Someone who can laugh at themselves. Someone who has also lead an interesting, life. Someone who is supportive and passionate, who will be there for me, who is warm and loving, understands a romantic gesture, and…healthy, funny, musical, loyal, adventurous, forgiving…you know…that perfect person we are all searching for! I have a lot to offer and I'd love to share it all with the right person.
