Embarking On A New Adventure
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? —Mary Oliver, from the poem Summer Day
Dating in your fifties and sixties is quite a trip, and not always very fun. Rescue me! I've spent most of my adult life in long term relationships and miss it. I'm on here trying to find so a woman whose company I enjoy, who is interesting, can help me learn and grow my understanding of life. Someone who is fun to be around. Friendship has an aspect of joy to it. Friendship is rare and takes time to evolve.
I love nature and walk for an hour in the woods every day. I’m way into music. I’ve lived a life full of adventure. I've hiked and camped and paddled all over North America. I love being around people living big lives, taking risks, growing, learning.
I live now in a home in a wildlife sanctuary in the Adirondacks. I bought it 15 years ago as a retreat. I'm open to relocating. I can do my work anywhere.
As far as work, I’ve fought forest fires, worked on Wall Street, been a successful artist, written a number of books and now I design software for hedge funds and professional investors. I haven’t worked for anyone on a salary or hourly wage since I was eighteen. I've always been involved in my own projects, businesses or creative endeavors.
If I think there is any possibility of a real connection, I’ll suggest a Zoom or similar conversation. I don’t think you can tell if there is chemistry or a connection with someone via messaging, chat or email.
On a Saturday night you will most likely find me reading, watching a movie, having a drink in a bar
I couldn't live without books, music
