Seven Days Personals - Introducing: Vermonters

I am a creative guy, hard-working and successful in my career. I was self-employed for 18 years as a consultant and software developer focused on bringing large business systems to the web. It was a great run, but a few years back I decided to take a full-time position as a senior consultant with a large software agency. I've become well-known and respected in my professional community, and I've developed numerous connections and great friendships with far-flung colleagues. I've always had a lot of energy and passion for things that are important to me, and I don't see that ever changing.
Family is very important to me. I'm a parent of two young adults, both fully launched. I love animals, especially dogs. I like to be physically active, including hiking, biking, and general fitness. Music is my passion, and I play several instruments and styles. I enjoy outdoor activities, concerts and other performances, and let's not forget dining... oh yes. I'm also fairly handy in the kitchen.
I grew up in NYC, so I have the big city in my blood, but I've always been a nature lover, and I value the peace and balance one finds outdoors. People have told me I'm fun to be with, funny (I love word play), a good listener, smart, and generous.
I'd like to spend time with an interesting woman with a confident personality and a creative imagination. Someone healthy and active, with an adventurous side who likes to travel. Must love music! I'm in no hurry, and I would enjoy getting to know someone that I find interesting. Chemistry is essential, but I also believe friendship is key. Tell me about yourself!
